In 2023, the Slovenian National Home introduced “Zabava”, a cultural festival celebrating the rich Slovenian culture, heritage and history that is unique to Cleveland, Ohio. In Slovenian, Zabava means “Party” . This family-friendly event features food, drink, polka music, dancing, ethnic food and vendors along with a one-day balinca (bocce ball) tournament.

The festival will happen rain or shine and will be mainly outdoors with food such as Slovenian smoked sausage, grilled čevapi, potica, strudel and more! Dance to live polka bands, browse Slovenian, European, and local vendors offering native crafts, foods and other items, then come inside to watch the balinca tournament with 16 teams vying for victory!
